It's been one of those weeks. You know the kind -- where you don't have nearly enough time to get anything done and every stressful thing that can pop up does and you'd kill for a vacation away from it all? Or at least some time to read with any interruptions? Yeah, that kind of week.
Honestly the highlight of my week was making some mini sugar cookies and snickerdoodles. No recipe, as I was just using a package mix from the store. But package or not, they were tasty.
Still, I'd rather have that stress-free vacation time instead. *sigh*

Hurricane Reese by R.L. Merrill
3 1/2 Stars
Simply put, this was an easy and enjoyable read. It's a slow burn, with a very low-level heat. Nothing to complain about, but nothing that I absolutely LOVED either.
✦ Reese = Tony-winning musician; pansexual
✦ Jude = working on his nursing degree, currently a caretaker for Reese's grandfather; Filipino

You Say It First by Susan Mallery

Romance was just okay/took a backseat, but I didn't mind because I just enjoyed this story and the wedding planning and whatnot.
Only one sex scene and while it's not explicit/long, it was still pretty solid for me because of the fingerbanging orgasms he gave her. ;)
✦ Wedding planner
✦ Artist/sculptor (wood work, mostly)

Lady Be Reckless by Megan Frampton
Releases February 27th, 2018

I didn't hate this book. I was just so bored; it took me 5 days to read, and what's worse is I often didn't *want* to pick up my Kindle at all that day because I wasn't excited to read this.
Class difference; she's originally interested in his friend, agrees to help him become "respectable" and find a wife, instead falls for him.
I talk about it a bit more on my GR review.
