This dual-perspective paranormal romance stars Lucy, a writer sent by the boss she's in a kinda-sorta-relationship with to report on the Whitby Goth Weekend, something which is 100% not her style. Then her friend tells her she can stay in her house in Whitby, but of course when she gets her someone's already there. That someone, Bram, is both the friend's cousin and more relevantly the owner of one of two gothic-themed bars that Lucy will be reporting on, so they will be spending a lot of time together. and after a VERY awkward first meeting, they start to bond more and more. But can this blooming romance survive the article and the secrets Bram is hiding?
Gorgeous, lyrical, paranormal romance with some fantastic plotting. The chemistry was absolutely impeccable from minute one. The setting was impeccably perfect and well-designed, the story arc was really effective and quite logical, and I loved all the side characters and the main characters
