Pat's Review:

The first thing I would say is that you really need to read Chase Me first. Events in that story lead up to the events in this one. I will try and avoid spoilers as best I can.

Lina Farrah, two star pastry chef, had an idyllic job working for her best friend, Vi, in Vi's very popular restaurant in Paris. But a terrifying occurrence in the last couple weeks have disrupted her happy life. Now, Lina is taking her frustration out on a huge block of ice and a chainsaw. Practicing for an ice sculpting contest, trying to get this block of ice to look like a dragon. Somehow she keeps chopping off his head!

Jake Adams and Lina have been thrown together quite a bit. Jake is an operative for a team called Elite, and his best friend and teammate Chase has fallen in love with Vi. Jake and Lina have been feeling some sizzles also, but Jake is on the job, and Lina is a no no. For a guy who has sworn off relationships because of his work, Lina is really getting under his skin. Not to mention the amazing sweets and delicacies she plies him with! This romance has a very slow and tantalizing climb, until Lina decides a full on assault is her only chance.

The banter is so much fun, and there are a lot of laughs. Both Lina and Jake are great characters, as are Chase and Vi, and the story is intriguing and at the same time makes you want to head to the kitchen for something sweet. As I said previously, this would be hard to read as a stand alone, but the Paris Nights Series is a must read. Highly recommend!

5 STARS!

Remember, since this is a Royal Pick, come back on April 27th for a chance to WIN an ecopy of your own!

Note: It has recently been pointed out that Trust Me has some very problematic elements, especially considering current events. I have not read the book, so I cannot personally comment/explain it, but this tweet thread helps to clarify.

Enjoy!
