Musing Maddie's Review:

Catherine Bybee has always been a favorite author of mine, but with Fiance by Friday, her position is assured.

With a fabulous mix of tall, sexy and silent Hero; sassy, clever and horny heroine; well constructed fast-paced suspense with yes-please-I'd-be-happy-for-more sizzle...what more could you want? Nothing. It ticked all the boxes for me.

Not only that, but Bybee's flawless, intelligent prose will tantalize your mind and allow you to stay completely focused on the story. Fiance by Friday was captivating, gripping. Perfectly timed moments of levity were seamlessly delivered, mostly through wonderfully witty banter between Gwen and Neil. Supporting cast were given the perfect allotment of time, with welcome visits from characters from the previous books in the Weekday Bride series. (I loved that!)

Bodyguard, Neil MacBain, was your troubled, mysterious Hero, who naturally, was attracted to the out-of-bounds beauty, his charge, Lady Gwen Harrison. His desire for Gwen was held at bay. Painfully. Dutifully.

Gwen had been silently lusting after the muscled, taciturn war veteran for well over a year. Despite feeling the enjoyment of her independence—living in America—she experienced the pang of loneliness. Gwen was a wonderful character. Feisty, energetic and warm. Yet, she wished for the one man who kept her at arm's length, much to her frustration.

Nefarious forces were at work, thrusting (excuse the pun) Neil into closer proximity of Gwen's intoxicating presence. Would he resist or succumb to her obvious attraction? Could he overcome his nightmares, moving forward into a love-filled future? Would they survive the danger surrounding them?

I loved this book. I've loved the series. I'll definitely be back for more. I highly recommend this book if you like the romantic-suspense genre. Thank you Catherine Bybee for consistently writing books of excellence.

 5 STARS!

Meet Musing Maddie:

Musing Maddie is an avid reader, who mainly devours all things romance. She loves series, but only when the story warrants a few books rather than one. A strong, intelligent female with a bit of sass and wit is the preferred heroine in the books she reads, and some sizzle between the sheets is welcome too. Well, ok...more than welcome! Well, not just between the sheets is just fine too! She’s from Down Under, so her humor is on the crazy side. Captivating storylines, with well developed plot and yes, hot, hunky Heroes, is definitely a preference, but she loves it when the characters are damaged, and their story brings hope and restoration. Yes please to HEAs!

Wow - I might have to try this one - adding it to the list - should I read the others first - is it necessary?

Every book stands alone, but if you do want to read in order start with Wife by Wednesday, then Married by Monday, then Fiance by Friday - You will re-visit characters from previous books throughout. Enjoy.
