[Pat's Review]: "He's So Fine"

He's So Fine by Jill Shalvis
Publisher: Grand Central Publishing (August 26, 2014)
Series: Lucky Harbor, 11
Genre: Contemporary Romance

For Olivia Bentley, Lucky Harbor is more than the town where she runs her new vintage shop. It's the place where folks are friendly to strangers-and nobody knows her real name. Olivia does a good job of keeping her past buried, not getting too cozy with anyone . . . until she sees a man drowning. Suddenly she's rushing into the surf, getting up close and personal with the hottest guy she's ever laid hands on.

Charter boat captain Cole Donovan has no problem with a gorgeous woman throwing her arms around his neck in an effort to "save" him. In fact, he'd like to spend a lot more time skin-to-skin with Olivia. He's just not expecting that real trouble is about to come her way. Will it bring her deeper into Cole's heart, or will it be the end of Olivia's days in little Lucky Harbor?

Pat's Review:

Our time in Lucky Harbor is coming to a close, but the final trilogy is awesome.  This town and characters have made a place for themselves in my heart. I'm going to miss them, but this second book in the trilogy is a page turner!

Olivia Bentley is the "new girl" in town. She lives in the renovated cold, drafty warehouse where Becca has her apartment, and they have become friends.  Olivia owns Unique Boutique, a store full of collectibles, antiques and retro clothing.  She likes early morning walks; it's quiet and gives herself time to think. One particular October morning, she has a very chilly introduction to one of the owners of Lucky Harbor Charters, Cole Donavan.  They quickly become very well acquainted and the scene is hilarious. Cole is the Captain and all around fix it person for their business.  We have met Sam, who is now engaged to Becca, and of course Tanner who is the Charter's swim, dive instructor.  They have been friends since teenagers, survived a terrible trauma,  lost one of their own and are still like brothers.

Cole is very reluctant to get close to Olivia, despite his attraction, thanks to an old betrayal he can't forget.  Olivia is equally attracted but not willing to share her former life and family.  She has a new name and is starting over.  The heat between these two is sizzling and their banter is wonderful!  But, between betrayals and secrets how can this love survive?

I started this book an a very delayed flight from San Francisco, continuing on an equally delayed flight from Atlanta.  I loved every page and finished as my plane touched down at home.  Can't wait for One in a Million and Tanner's story.  I will be very sad to read the last Lucky Harbor story, but I know Ms. Shalvis has more stories to tell us about wonderful places and people.

FIVE very sparkling stars!

5 STARS!

Thanks for the review, Pat! :) It's always sad to see the end (or in this case almost end) of a beloved series! The one good thing about it? Years of happy rereading! :)

Are you a fan of Lucky Harbor? Do you have a favorite couple, or one that you reread often?

Enjoy!

The last books are always bitter sweet. I've only read one book from the series so I have a ways to go before that particular feeling. This one sounds sweet. I'm definitely curious about her secrets and rooting for her to break through Cole's issues. Thanks for sharing!
