Sheriff Sawyer Thompson hopes surprising Chloe at the party will give him a chance to set things right. But as the snow begins to fall and the wind rages, he wonders whether he can make it back in time. While mother nature conspires to keep Sawyer and Chloe apart, an unexpected arrival will require them to kiss and make up . . . and ring in the happiest holiday Lucky Harbor has ever seen.

Pat's Review:

This is a very sweet visit to old friends in Lucky Harbor. Sawyer Thompson also known as "Officer Hottie" by his wife Chloe has been taking a lot of side DEA jobs which take him out of town. Chloe hates these separations, but feels somewhat responsible for him trying to get away. Chloe is eight and a half months pregnant with The Bean, and hormones abound. This pregnancy was not planned, neither Sawyer or Chloe had happy childhoods, which makes her question her ability to be a Mommy.  He assures her he will be home, always. Chloe tries to believe him.

It's a couple weeks before Christmas and Chloe is missing Sawyer and suffering from cabin fever. She insists she is going to the town Christmas party, even though she can't find anything to fit her "V.W. Bug" body.  She is also getting little surprise gifts appearing in her home that are lovely, but sisters, brother-in-laws and friends deny they're from them.  The day of the party she coerces a friend to take her, knowing everyone will fight her attendance. A vicious snowstorm, labor pains, and fear for Sawyer's safety are all Chloe can think of.  But, it's Christmas and the season for miracles.

This is a quick, very enjoyable holiday story.  I highly recommend this story and I know it will be read again and again.

5 STARS!
