[Pat's Review]: 'You Again"

You Again by JoAnn Ross
Publisher: Castlelough Publishing LLC (October 29, 2014)
Series: Shelter Bay, 8
Genre: Contemporary Romance

New York Times bestselling author JoAnn Ross returns to Shelter Bay with a new holiday novella, YOU AGAIN.

A book nerd, a brainiac science guy, and a misplaced killer whale...

Meghann Quinn wasn’t always a hugely successful author. Adam Wayne wasn’t always a marine biologist studying whales. Back in high school in Shelter Bay, Oregon, she was the shy book nerd helping the brainiac science guy pass English. Meghann had no idea Adam would turn into such a hottie. Adam has no idea their once-upon-a-time sweet summer romance inspired Meghann’s popular teen novels.

Two shy geeks didn’t have the courage to share their true feelings back then. But now that Meghann’s back in town, they’re pondering life’s important questions. Such as, will Adam ask her to the Snow Ball? And what are they going to do about the lost Orca who shows up on Christmas Eve? And can two nerds get past their initial insecurity to take a second chance on a once-in-a-lifetime love?

You Again also will appear in a Home for Christmas Duet with Jessica Scott.

Pat's Review:
I love visits to Shelter Bay, especially at Christmas time.

Meghan Quinn is a very successful YA romance writer living in New York City. She spent her high school years living in Shelter Bay, Oregon at three different foster homes. She has just finished her latest story, and while meeting with her editor finds out that an old high school friend Adam Wayne had sent a note which had gotten lost in the deluge of fan mail. Adam is a professor at the local Community College in Shelter Bay and trying to get donations for a hands on science museum for local children.

Meghan remembers Adam very well. He was a brainiac that could understand anything scientific, but hated literature. He needed to keep up his GPA and Meghan was the shy nerd to tutor him. They became close friends, and she had a huge hidden crush on him.

They decide instead of just sending autographed books, Meghan would come out for the fund raiser, and make a few appearances. She was alone for Christmas and would love a visit to Shelter Bay. Adam tried to act nonchalant, but was secretly pumping his fist.We are brought up to date with characters from previous novels and enjoy visits to Bon Temps,  Shelter Bay's popular local Cajun bar.

This is a cozy romantic friends to lovers story that will definitely help you forget the winter chill. The pace is easy, characters wonderful, and the build up for Meghan and Adam's love story is heartwarming!  There is also a little mystery about a possible beached whale, and Meghan, Adam, and eventually the whole town, is trying to get him back with his pod.  I enjoyed this Christmas story, and highly recommend it.

This book, along with Jessica Scott's are  featured in a Christmas duet release called Home for Christmas.

5 STARS!
