Here's my candidate for the week:

The Hook Up by Kristen Callihan
Publisher: CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform (January 16, 2015)
Series: Game On, 1
Genre: NA Contemporary Romance

The rules: no kissing on the mouth, no staying the night, no telling anyone, and above all… No falling in love.

Anna Jones just wants to finish college and figure out her life. Falling for star quarterback Drew Baylor is certainly not on her to do list. Confident and charming, he lives in the limelight and is way too gorgeous for his own good. If only she could ignore his heated stares and stop thinking about doing hot and dirty things with him. Easy right?

Too bad he’s committed to making her break every rule…

Football has been good to Drew. It’s given him recognition, two National Championships, and the Heisman. But what he really craves is sexy yet prickly Anna Jones. Her cutting humor and blatant disregard for his fame turns him on like nothing else. But there’s one problem: she's shut him down. Completely.

That is until a chance encounter leads to the hottest sex of their lives, along with the possibility of something great. Unfortunately, Anna wants it to remain a hook up. Now it’s up to Drew to tempt her with more: more sex, more satisfaction, more time with him. Until she’s truly hooked. It's a good thing Drew knows all about winning.

All’s fair in love and football…Game on.

I *loooved* this book, it was one of my favorites from 2014. And now that it's available in print, the new cover is so damn sexy, I must buy it. Both to reread and to stroke. :D

Kame's Pick:

Unforgiven by Lori Adams
Publisher: Flirt (April 21, 2015)
Series: The Soulkeepers, 3
Genre: NA Paranormal Romance

Otherworldly desire and paranormal action reach new heights in the final installment of The Soulkeepers. As Sophia St. James moves Heaven and Hell to claim her destiny, questions are answered, secrets are revealed—and immortal love is tested.

Sophia tries to hide the crisis, but there is little hope of keeping any secrets from her red-hot Guardian Angel. Growing suspicious, Michael has been making plans of his own that will bind him and Sophia together forever.

But Sophia is plagued with evil visions through Ka’s experiences in Hell. She is terrified that Dante will discover he has taken the wrong Sophia. TBQ: It is eye catching!

Pat's Pick:

All Played Out by Cora Carmack
Publisher: William Morrow Paperbacks (May 12, 2015)
Series: Rusk University, 3
Genre: NA Contemporary Romance

First person in her family to go to college? CHECK.
Straight A’s? CHECK.
On track to graduate early? CHECK.
Social life? …..yeah, about that….

With just a few weeks until she graduates, Antonella DeLuca’s beginning to worry that maybe she hasn’t had the full college experience. (Okay... Scratch that. She knows she hasn't had the full college experience).

So Nell does what a smart, dedicated girl like herself does best. She makes a "to do" list of normal college activities.

Item #1? Hook up with a jock.

Rusk University wide receiver Mateo Torres practically wrote the playbook for normal college living. When he’s not on the field, he excels at partying, girls, and more partying. As long as he keeps things light and easy, it's impossible to get hurt... again. But something about the quiet, shy, sexy-as-hell Nell gets under his skin, and when he learns about her list, he makes it his mission to help her complete it.

Torres is the definition of confident (And sexy. And wild), and he opens up a side of Nell that she's never known. But as they begin to check off each crazy, exciting, normal item, Nell finds that her frivolous list leads to something more serious than she bargained for. And while Torres is used to taking risks on the field, he has to decide if he's willing to take the chance when it's more than just a game.

Together they will have to decide if what they have is just part of the experiment or a chance at something real.

I just love all of these!!! They are just gorgeous, and I can't decide which one is my favorite. I do love the playful tone of the bottom one.

;) Me, too. Cora did a fun post about the making of the cover, too. http://www.coracarmack.com/all-played-out-cover-reveal-behind-the-scenes/

All Played Out looks fun!

I added Cowboy Boots for Christmas by Carolyn Brown. Love that cover, with a hot cowboy (with chest hair! )

The_Book_Queen said...

Hot cowboys are ALWAYS worthy of L4C! :)

That is such a fun cover, Pat! Oh, and look at that new cover for The Hook Up which had a different cover last fall when I read it.

The_Book_Queen said...

I definitely prefer this new Hook Up cover to the old (though the old one wasn't necessarily a bad one). I'll be buying a copy to stroke -- er, reread. :)

Sorry I'm late to the party, but I have to say that I do love the choices. However, I'm going to point out that Unforgiven is a book 3 instead of a 4. I'm actually waiting for that book, because I NEED to know what happens. I also finally posted my pick for the week. Yes, I know I'm slacking here. ;)

The_Book_Queen said...

. . . I don't know what you're talking about. It totally says book 3, see? *innocent look*

Never too late to join the party! :)

Haha. Too bad I have the original email, and I know the truth. Others might not have caught it, but I did. LOL

The_Book_Queen said...

:P Blogger blackmail, huh? LOL

Melody May said...

You are lucky on how you set up your email, cause I have no blackmail. Drats. Screen shot next time. ;)

The_Book_Queen said...

Hehe Amateur. Screen shots are your best friend online. :)

Oooo The HookUp. Yes, please!

The_Book_Queen said...

I know! I'd take that on a giant poster to put on my wall behind the desk. Would definitely improve the scenery! :D

I tried to post the meme yesterday but my computer crashed repeatedly on sunday :(

Wow mamma, the hook up !!!! If I put it on my wall, I wouldn't work at all, I'd be drooling all day long !
I like the cover of All played up, it's good to see people laughing on the cover, it doesn't happen that often - and the girl looks a little like Buffy, don't you think ?

Great choice, ladies ;)

The_Book_Queen said...

LOL True, it would be more distracting than productive, but still, it would improve the scenery! :)

Agreed -- love the fun, light cover for APU. I think we all need a dash of that once in a while. :D
