Saturday post where you can share with us what you are currently reading, or just finished, and I will share my brief thoughts on books that I read during the previous week.
Now in the form of a podcast. AKA, me rambling about the books in your ear. :)

The Cold From Hell hit me this week, so no podcast! Depending on how I feel next week, there may not be one then, either. But at least you can still see what I read for the week and find the links to things that I would have talked about if my voice did not currently sound like an old woman who smoked 3 packs a day. *cries* I'll be back as soon as I can!
You can now find the podcast listed on:

The Highwayman by Kerrigan Byrne
Narrated by Derek Perkins
Between 3 - 3 1/2 Stars
Content warning: backstory (off page) of child molestation, abuse, and rape.
Liked the writing, but the blurb doesn't fit the book at all, and there were a lot of plot things kinda glossed over. Plus I had issues with him always leaving her tied up after they fucked which is a big NO NO (he can't stand to be touched, relates to his backstory). I don't care that he had to get out of there because of flashbacks and feels, you untie her first or tell someone to go help her.Kindle | NOOK | Kobo

Scoring with the Wrong Twin by Naima Simone
Releases January 16th
4 Stars
Hot and fun, though the last half dragged for me a bit and I had a few small quibbles through out.
One big no-no was a transphobic throwaway comment about his penis being what "made him a man". No, authors, no.

I really don't read YA anymore, but I do enjoy Carmack's NA titles and my library had it. I am liking it though!
