Pat's  Review:

This is a heart pounding very sexy start to an updated previously released series by Ms. Flynn.

Claire Layton is the owner of her dream, Harvest Bistro. She couldn't cook, but loved the restaurant business, so she opens her own. She lives in Dry Creek, Nebraska along with her three annoying brothers and her parents. Life is busy, but good. That is, until the night she found a dead body in her dumpster. The victim was named Kendall Burlington, and had been a guest in the restaurant earlier. This discovery opens a very nasty, dangerous can of worms.

Jake Warrick is an investigator for Absolute Security in Denver. His company has been hired by the victim's father to investigate her death and very curious to Jake, is very anxious to find her phone.  When he shows up in Harvest, he gets a very wet reception and a not very happy Claire. But he slowly persuades her they can work together.

"With his movie-star looks and granite hard body, the man was beyond easy on the eyes and hard on the panties."

Suddenly, Claire is getting threatening phone calls from a man she calls the "Voice of Doom," and a series of very dangerous accidents start  to happen. Jake doesn't want to let her out of sight, the investigation low on his priority list. Her brothers, Hank the local Sheriff, Chris and Sam agree she needs protection.

This is a fast moving, funny and suspenseful read. It can be read as a standalone, but there's a hint of what's coming in Book 2 in the prologue.  Looking forward to Dangerous  Flirt.
